Used to be one of my favourites for a nasi ayam penyet fix. It always had a long queue, but when I went yesterday during lunch time, there was no queue at all. I ordered the nasi ayam penyet and, to my disappointment, the chicken was overly fried to the point it had no juice left. The soup tasted like nothing but salt and ajinomoto. I also remember their nasi goreng used to be freshly fried by a short, friendly Malay abang — it was superb. Now it’s pre-cooked and tastes bland. Seriously, the owner needs to look into this stall; I understand he/she may be busy with other branches, but don’t let the staff ruin the shop’s reputation. I went again today and, unsurprisingly, there was no queue. But that’s it — no more Zouls for me.
