It has a distinct local, home-cooked style. The oyster omelette was 😋—packed with fresh oysters (about 11–12 pieces for the small portion), and I liked how the sambal was tucked underneath. The vegetables were fresh. I wasn’t crazy about their style of cooking the lala, though the clams themselves were fresh. The small stingray portion was alright, nothing extraordinary. From the sound of it, they only serve what’s fresh for the day. Overall, this stall is great for the area ☺️.

The grill stingray is super nice, very fresh and cook time just right, never had such stingray before anywhere else. BUT it's not 100% everytime it's like lottery see ur luck, my 1st and 3rd is really good, 2nd 4th time is normal taste like other stall. So not sure freshness issue or cooking time issue. But 1st 3rd time is really super super delicious that brings me back to try my luck again. It's like jackpot, if u win u get hook. Lol. Attached image is $20 big size portion.

Had a craving for sambal stingray so I decided to jio my friends to this place. While their prices are relatively low compared to the market today, it is also reflected in their food. This is a place where you might want to get the familiar flavours at a low cost, but I would pay the premium for something enjoyable.

Been back at Tokyo BBQ many times even though I stay in the east. All the bbq seafood and vegetables here are good! I especially liked the oyster omelette(蚝蛋 hao dan)and sambal sotong which are perennial favourites. The eggs in the oyster omelette are soft and fluffy, cooked to perfection with the oyster. Remember not to miss the sambal sotong, my friends and I often order two servings of it, it is that good. The clams lala are standard one size and taste really good! Sambal stingray is a staple at bbq seafood and not to be missed. Do come early to order the small threadfish (ngor her soon) as it often gets sold out early - the ngor he soon taste milky sweet and has little bones. Not forgetting to mention the vegetables Nai Bai and sambal kangkong which are fresh and crunchy, perfect dishes to balance out the other seafood dishes.
