One of the best soya sauce chicken. And reasonable prices. The prawn dumpling and wonton are also very good. One whole chicken costs $20. Gets crowded during lunch and can be a challenge getting a table.

Stall owner was friendly and the whole order was taken well. Took roast meat noodles and packed home soy sauce chicken. The roast meat is crunchy and not too salty. Noodles is springy and well seasoned. Soy sauce chicken is tender. Payment by cash or PayLah.

Hidden gem in Ayer Rajah Chicken - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Braised to perfection every time. Super succulent (tender, juicy, tasty). The skin….😋🤤🥰 Sure beats that so-called Michelin tourist trap, IMHO. Recommended carbs; Hor fun - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super Silky and smooth. Noodles - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Also just as good! QQ Recommended to add chilli. They use the HK-style fried chilli oil. It’s so fragrant and packed with unmami. The soup is functional. Not too salty, not too bland. just right. Their wontons are huge. HK style, prawn wontons. Spoil yourself and get the large bowl. It’s worth it cos you won’t be able to stop yourself from finishing it!😊 #supportlocalhawker

2nd time patronising the store, the queue can be quite long during lunch and you might not be able to get a chance to try the roasted meat rice so remember to come early! Hopefully my pictures got you drooling 😋 I didn’t write a review the first time cause I didn’t have photos to accompany it with a review. The first time I tried this stall, I would have given it a 4/5 because the meat placement isn’t nice/appealing though the dish itself is good. The portion is just nice, quite filling for a decent price, $3. A lot of meat (refer to the picture). I love the crispiness of the roasted meat skin; eating the meat by itself can be a little salty but once you mix it with the rice is alright; the saltiness goes away. You can choose to get the gravy or don't get the gravy on top of the rice. I got the gravy, so the rice tasted better, and it's easier for me to swallow. The gravy seems the same as the one on the tofu that I ordered extra. The sauce on the tofu/rice is unique, different from the braised tofu you order from cai fan stores, and I like it a lot. The soup accompanied with it also taste good; it's like the soup from the wanton mee that they are selling. They are tempting me to try out their wanton noodles, which will be on my list and next review. Stay tuned:)
