Fried Cockles Kway Teow

Always seeing a short queue here and decided to give it a try. Ordered the Yuan Yang version of half black and while to try both at once. Had a lot of expectations for it seeing how the patrons are older people, or housewives. Unfortunately for me, this is mediocre at best. There is no flavour. Solely just the carrot cake cubes and egg. The preserved radish can't be tasted at all either. Black radish Cake was very pale too and lacked flavour. I rate: 2.5/5 🌟

Visited on 19 Apr 2023 for char kway teow at $4. Its the wet, sweet and smell a tinge of charcoal. Some people don't like it like this but for me it's really good and tasty.. my favourite style of char kway teow. Will try their carrot cake next

Not bad for their black carrot cake from this stall. $3 portion just nice for one pax with reasonable price. Surely will come back to try their Fried Kway Teow.

I ordered the black fried carrot cake this time and the portion is quite small for $4. But luckily the portion was small, as the carrot cake dont taste good and was too sweet. I had also tried the white version in the past and it was also below average. The photo that i took definitely looks better than the taste.
