Ayer Rajah Food Centre is widely known as a haven for fantastic Muslim and Indian cuisine. But on a recent visit, amidst the aromatic curries and vibrant rojak stalls, I found myself drawn to an unexpected stall having Pig Liver and Kidney Mee Sua in their menu. Curiosity led me to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. I haven't been able to find a bowl of this classic comfort dish that tastes this well for quite a while. My order of Pig Liver and Kidney Mee Sua arrived, the soup was brimming with large, tender slices of pork liver and kidney, both cooked perfectly which is a crucial detail for any enthusiast of these offals. Each piece had a delicate texture and contributed a subtle, earthy richness to the comforting broth. If I'm ever in the area again, even if I'm not in the mood for biryani or mee goreng, I'll definitely be heading to this stall.
